Artists

Raquel Alegria was born in Sta.Coloma in Gramanet, Barcelona. At the early age of five she began her dance studies in the school of Rosalia Mulero.
In 1992 she begins her career in Spanish dance in the Dance Conservatory in Seville. She’s got broad experience at different tablaos throughout Spain.
In 2001 she received the awards Matilde Corral at the “Certamen de Jóvenes Valores” (the contest for young artists). In 2002 she’s part of the National Company of Flamenco releasing the show "Churumbel" at the Theatre Calderón. A show where Antonio Canales directed the choreography.

From October 2006 to April 2007 she performes in "El Flamenco", a very famous tablao in Tokyo (Japan). She also gives lessens at different dance schools in Japan, and performed in Osaka together with the flamenco dancer Andrés Peña.
In 2009 she received the prize of José de la Vega in the “Certamen de Jóvenes Valores” in  L'Hospitalet.
