On her artistic career it could be distinguished 2 clearly different phases – two because of the singing styles. Her first albums (Luna nueva, 1983, and Seda en mi piel, 1984) were a obvious bet on the so-called flamenco-rock.
After 1997, by the hand of Vicente Amigo, started to do what she really wanted. The project is called Turu Turai (1997). She sold 150.000 copies. Other albums came after, with the same strength, same success and same quality. Without any doubt, Remedios Amaya is one of the most inspired singer in the past years. Is one of the best flamenco party style singer of our generation.
